Why us?
This is WeEarth
WeEarth may seem like magic, but it is based on sophisticated engineering and bioscience.
WeEarth accelerates composting, the process by which organic matter (food waste) is broken down into CO2, water and nutrient-rich, biologically stable soil amendment.
WeEarth achieves this by using both physical and biochemical methods to decompose food waste.
WeEarth has three preset programs (Ferment, Standard and Quick) and each goes through three different stages.
WeEarth's first two steps (heating and grinding) occur simultaneously. Smaller pieces of food are easier to decompose than larger ones, as greater aeration and surface area makes it easier for microorganisms to break down the waste.
The final stage is an alternating heating and cooling cycle that creates an optimal environment for the food to break down, with the various sensors in WeEarth measuring moisture content and temperature, while the ventilation system ensures a continuous flow of air.
The resulting effect is the optimal conditions required to start the natural decomposition process. Each mode (Ferment, Standard and Quick) does this at different time intervals.
Did you know: The three main phases of traditional composting are the mesophilic phase (medium temperature), the thermophilic phase (high temperature) and finally a cooling phase. Normally these phases can take several months, but WeEarth does it in just a few hours!
